2007 brings new and exiting vehicles and vehicle changes from the Mitsubishi Automotive Group. The new Mitsubishi Montero has some minor exterior changes from the already aggressive styling. The trim levels are very generous and start with the XLS to the Limited model. The engine is new this year as well, with a 3.8L V-6 under the hood, mated with a five-speed Sportronic automatic transmission. Putting that power to the ground the M-ASTC (advanced stability and traction control), and Mitsubishi's Active Trac System that offer 2WD, full-time AWD, and high- or low-range 4WD.
The Mitsubishi Outlander
Another offering is the new Mitsubishi Mitsubishi Outlander is an entry-level SUV based on the Lancer subcompact chassis. This vehicle has truck like features with full-time AWD and FWD plus versatile packaging. This new vehicle from Mitsubishi also offers fully independent suspension, and its standard 140-hp four-cylinder engine comes with a four-speed automatic transmission.
Mitsubishi also has a nice luxury sedan offer called the Diamonte. This vehicle competes with the Lexus mid-range luxury sedans, as well as other mid-range luxury sedans. Some of the other offerings include the Mitsubishi Galant, the Eclipse, and the Eclipse Spyder. All of these offerings have proven themselves in their respective marketplace and continue to bring in new owners.

The Japanese, Korean, German and other automakers have learned one very important lesson when looking to enter the U.S. automotive marketplace: Start with one successful model that addresses a specific need, keep those customers happy and then introduce other models and build from there. Mitsubishi is another company that got it early when they introduced their Mitsubishi Eclipse and developed an immediate following. From there it was just a matter of analyzing the different market segments in the U.S. and delivering high quality products.
