Oldsmobile has some nice new additions to their standard lineup this model year. The new Olds Aurora features some new styling as well as advanced safety features. The new Oldsmobile Bravada, despite facing the possibility of brand obliteration, has included the following new features:
Oldsmobile's other offerings this year include the stylish and roomy Olds Intrigue and the newly redesigned Olds Silhouette, their nice-sized and equipped mini-van. One of things that all these vehicles have in common is Oldsmobile's long history of developing, testing and delivering quality transportation products to the American consumer over many decades. This makes Oldsmobile one of the solid car manufacturers in the world today. GM should continue to support this brand for many a year to come.
With the announcement recently that the venerable Oldsmobile line will be discontinued within a couple of years, the marketplace will miss the fine vehicles that have been built out through the years. Undoubtedly, customer and product support will be picked up by some other GMC division. There are simply so many competing brands in the marketplace these days and with the proliferation of new Japanese models coming online and the Daimler-Chrysler relationship cutting into market share for some of the more establish brands, the big automotive giants, like GMC, are looking for ways to cut their losses.
